There are several ways you can volunteer with Hands On Harvests:
Help us build a new community garden. HOH operates 2 community gardens in the Falls Church area, provides support to 5 families growing in a plot in the county's Bo White community garden, and is building a new garden at the Mission Center of the Annandale United Methodist Church. Volunteer during work days to create and support community gardens.

Grow food and care for native plants at our urban farm in Annandale. Many hands make light work at the EGG, located in the Eileen Garnett Civic Space at 7200 Columbia Pike. See the home page for a list of upcoming workdays.
Grow veggies, herbs and fruit to donate as part of HOH's Grow A Row program. No amount is too small. HOH can give you soil test kits, seeds and plants. Weigh and prepare your donation, then take it to a pantry near you. You also can leave your donation at a drop-off host site or may be able to request a pick-up. Report your donation by filling out our online form.

Be a garden mentor. Answer gardeners' questions through email, phone calls, site visits -- whatever works for you. If you're a Master Gardener, you can receive service hour credit for doing this. Here's how it works.

Host a drop-off location where neighbors can leave their bagged or boxed donations on days and times set by you.
Be a courier. Pick up and deliver donations, plants or seeds at times and locations that are convenient for you.

Help in-house with fundraising, publicity, videos, website management, data collection and other admin jobs.

And, of course, you can support HOH financially via PayPal or by sending a check to PO Box 6547, Falls Church VA 22040.
